Vietti Barbaresco "Masseria" DOCG 2015
Variety: Nebbiolo
Vinification: "Masseria" comes from grapes of two vineyards located in Neive and Treiso. The soil is calcareous-clayey with southern exposure. During the alcoholic fermentation the must remains for about 3 weeks in open steel vats. Daily "déléstage", mushrooming and pumping over in the air are carried out. Malolactic fermentation in barriques.
Ageing: About 2½ years in oak casks and barriques.
Description: ruby colour, with slight garnet hues. Intense aromas of ripe cherries with complex notes of minerals, tea leaves and rose petals. Severe, ripe tannins, fresh acidity and a round, feminine structure. This Barbaresco demonstrates incredible finesse, excellent balance and a long, lingering finish.
