Type: Red dry wine.
Grape Variety: 100% Maratheftiko. An ancient Cypriot variety.
Vineyards: Estate vineyard.
Harvest: Early October.
Vinification methods: A rare and unique indigenous variety of Cyprus, rediscovered a few years ago. Vinified in a totally controlled environment so as to fully extract its unique characteristics.
Aging: In French oak barrels for eight months and subsequently in a bottle for one
year. Ready for immediate consumption, it can further develop for the next 2-3 years.
Tasting notes: berries, black cherries and roses are characteristic in this wine, while it’s silky flavor, reminiscent of spices, leads to a long and round finish.
Serving temperature: Best served at 18°C.
Complimentary Flavors: Game, red meat and Mediterranean food.
